Who are you and where did you come from?
Jennifer L. Barnes lives in Southern Indiana with her geek extraordinaire husband, a massive, black, yard destroying dog, and a cat who thinks chewing on fingers is a good way to show her affection. Raised with wolves (seriously, her father was a canine biologist for the first half of her life) by a Shawnee Medicine man and her bibliophile mother, she quickly gained appreciation for the written word. Growing up in such a unique household meant finding a way not to go insane, and she found out she had a knack for writing. So, here she is now writing her preferred genre of Urban Fantasy with occasionally dipping her toes into horror, romance, and erotica. She also has a top 30 Jukepop Serials online serial that she would love for you to read. Plus its totally free! So if you like 80’s movies mixed with a soupcon of heavy metal and a large dose of snark, you might want to check out the “Law Unto Herself Chronicles” at

Where do you want to be in 10 years?
I'd love to have my "Law Unto Herself Chronicles" as a published book series with a modest fanbase. I'd also love to do my darker spin off series of it as well involving a group of individuals protecting the world from the knowledge that the supernatural exists. Like I said, I love some Urban Fantasy.

What is the biggest mistake you've made in your life?
The Fifth? It's being pleaded right here.

What would you do for a Klondike bar?
Absolutely nothing. I'm allergic to chocolate.

Best Elevator Pitch For Latest Book. 300 words or less
Forest is a vampire who's morality complex makes her too good for her own good, and she has a nasty habit of not knowing when to leave things alone. Armed with an absurdly large handgun, the gift of snark, a love for pop culture and heavy metal, and one bitching muscle car she fights the Forces of Evil.
