Who are you and where did you come from?
Even though my given name is Andrew, I go by Drew or Mac (never Andy - yuck). I was born in Munich, Germany while my father was stationed overseas with the US Army. Growing up a military brat, I became an avid reader with Fantasy, Science Fiction and Detective Thrillers being my favorite genres. I served in the U.S. Coast Guard from 1982-88 and began training in TaeKwonDo in 1985. In 1994 I moved to Louisville, Kentucky to open my own TKD studio and taught for 11 wonderful years. It is where I met my future wife, Felicia. However, everything has a season and in November of 2005, I closed my studio and switched careers. I now work as a Corrections Officer with Louisville Metro and writes in my spare time. Unable to live on the beach, I resides on a farm east of Louisville with my wife and animals: 5 cats, 2 dogs and 2 horses.

Where do you want to be in 10 years?
I hope to retire from Corrections in mid-2019 and move south to warmer climates. I plan to live on the beach and write full time while drinking plenty of beer.

What is the biggest mistake you've made in your life?
Biggest mistake....getting out of the US Coast Guard before my 20 years.

What would you do for a Klondike bar?
Depends on how cute the girl is handing them out :-)

Best Elevator Pitch For Latest Book. 300 words or less
When Mac logged into Lost Lands on his computer one Friday night, he had no idea how much that one event would change his life. Grouping up with his online friends, he had an enjoyable night of gaming and even completed the Tomb of Immortality. However, at the end of the dungeon they meet a strange wizard with a compelling offer to ‘Beta Test’ a new expansion. Since every gamer dreams of being the first to explore new areas, they agree. Nonetheless, they were not ready for what came next. Mac and his friends find themselves pulled into the game and that they have become their avatars. At first, it is exciting until they realize that they are trapped inside the game. When they find themselves attacked, the Outlanders quickly realize how dangerous their new reality can be. Vowing to return home, the survivors set off to find the legendary city of Atlantis in hopes that the Dragon Kings may know of a way back to the real world. The Outlanders soon discover that they aren’t the first gamers to be pulled into game, just the latest. But more than that, they have become pawns between two rival wizards in a long standing feud. Can the Outlanders survive the game world long enough to return home?
