Favorite Memory: My favorite memory would have to be when I was little - in elementary school - my dad would take us to work with him. He managed a tire warehouse. My older sister, Donna, and I would roller skate all around the warehouse, ride our skateboards, hide in tires, and ride on the carts while the guys picked tire orders. On snow days we would take cardboard and use it as a sled to slide down the mountain of snow made by plowing the parking lot. I loved to play with the baby snakes he had there. There was also a pet raccoon that liked to chase us on our skateboards. The guys thought they were cool. They tied a rope to the bike. One would ride the bike and pull the other while he rode a skateboard. They spent more time hitting the concrete floor than riding the skateboard. We would all play UNO at lunch. We had such a good time. Memories I will cherish always. My dad passed in 2007.

Favorite Place To Write
My favorite place to write is in my office where I work. My desk sits up against my window, which allows light and sounds from outside to come in. I have wind chimes in the window and hanging from the ceiling. It's nice to get in there early or stay late to write (when it is quiet).

Greatest Inspiration
My greatest inspiration has been my daughter, Michelle. She began writing at 10 years old. I still have some of the files saved. Reading her stories gave me the courage to begin my own writing career.

Best Elevator Pitch For Latest Book. 300 words or less
I have a vampire romance series called the Watchers that I am very proud of. Each novel contains not only passion and steamy love scenes, but an action-filled storyline. The locales are actual places in my home town of Louisville, Kentucky. The series starts during the weeks leading up to Louisville’s kickoff to their Kentucky Derby festivities with the Thunder Over Louisville fireworks show. The main characters in the series never truly leave the picture when their personal stories are over. I bring the characters back in other books just to let you know what’s going on with them. Planned for the series are 11 books, lots of reading time before the last novel wraps up the world of the Watchers on a positive note and a promise of a bright future for the race. Check it out on my website dmcentire.com. All of my stories are available online from major booksellers such as Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Sony, and more.
