Who are you and where did you come from?
I'm a native of Southern Indiana, and I've lived in Louisville with my husband for about twenty years. I've been a writer since middle school, but after a health crisis I began writing in earnest as therapy. I write science fiction romance, sometimes heavier on the romance than the sci fi, and I've been publishing since 2012. And I currently have four or five works in progress because that's how my brain works.

Where do you want to be in 10 years?
I'd like to have about 500 acres of mostly forest, with a solar home and tons of chickens, rabbits, and alpacas, as well as a bunch of rescue doggies to help me protect them. Hey, you asked where I WANT to be, right?!

What is the biggest mistake you've made in your life?
My biggest mistake was not pursuing math when it finally started to 'click'. I had struggled with it for many years, and in college finished an algebra class with much more confidence than when I began it. I should have thrown myself into it once I felt comfortable with it, because that lack of math was why I couldn't get into all the science courses I wished I could have taken. I'm still a total science geek; I just don't have the formal education to impress people who insist you must have a degree to 'understand' what you know.

What would you do for a Klondike bar?
I would sing you a song, probably The Quest (The Impossible Dream) from Man of La Mancha, a musical about Don Quixote. If you read my To Be Sinclair series, you'll see I am quite like Don Quixote in many ways; I promote all the noble virtues simply by titling my books after them, and I promote love over warfare, even as I stumble around like a crazy ol' coot living in a delusional world.

Best Elevator Pitch For Latest Book. 300 words or less
Lieutenant Princess Brielle Sinclair, the first female navigator in the Sinclair Demesnes Service, can be sharp, sassy, classy, and determined, and oh-so-aware of her impact on the men! She's totally ace, but her weird cyborg navigation implants represent her unique ability to visualize stelluric waves, the building blocks of wormholes and stargates. A technological disaster shortens Brielle's liberty on the planet Venturi, and leads to the retrieval of her sophomore chemistry lab partner, Lord Zak Ellison, a deep undercover agent dealing with the disaster while enslaved by a mysterious 'hellbeast'. Yet Brielle's ability shows her it consists of those stelluric waves, so how could it be intelligent? When her ship gets embroiled in that puzzling energetic influence from Venturi, the Emperor needs her to handle the situation. How can Brielle extricate Zak from this horrible assignment, as well as help him with his troubled past? And what will it take to deal with the stelluric problem they've nicknamed the 'hellbeast'? This science fiction romance is the tenth book in the To Be Sinclair series and contains some moderately explicit, but not smutty, sexual situations, as well as an occasional cuss word.
