Who are you and where did you come from?
I'm a hopeless romantic, which probably explains why I write historical romance. I have said that I was born about 175 years too late and most definitely in the wrong part of the country. I grew up on the south side of Chicago, and let me tell you, I couldn't wait to get the heck out of Dodge. I waited until both my kids were in high school before I figured I might enjoy college. I now hold a master's degree in English. (And, most of the time, the only job requirement with that degree is being able to clearly enunciate "Do you want fries with that?"

Where do you want to be in 10 years?
In ten years, I'd like to be sitting on the porch of a ranch house in Wyoming, looking at the Medicine Bow Range. But, I also know that isn't in the cards unless I win the lotto, so I'll settle for sitting on the porch of our vacation cabin in the "mountains" of Tennessee.

What is the biggest mistake you've made in your life?
My first marriage. That's not a joke. The only decent things I got out of the worst four years of my life were getting myself and my two kids out.

What would you do for a Klondike bar?
Not a darn thing. I'm lactose intolerant.

Best Elevator Pitch For Latest Book. 300 words or less
From the jacket blurb for my soon to be released book "Seize the Flame" Jessica Depre’s life is in tatters. She’s on the run. There’s a bounty on her head, offered by her abusive husband, Robert. He needs Jessica back in Texas to silence her about his bank robbing escapades and the role he forced her to play in those crimes. When bounty hunter Drake Adams walks into the boarding house where she works, Jessica slips away into the night. Her only hope of surviving and protecting those she loves from her husband’s rage is to run away and vanish forever. Unable to accept that the only woman he ever loved left him standing at the altar and married another man, Drake Adams has given up a good law practice in the Wyoming Territory. If he’s not hunting down bounties, he’s pursuing the bottom of a bottle of bourbon. When Drake learns his former fiancée, Jessica Majors-Depre, has a price on her head, he decides he will collect that bounty. Can the bounty hunter and the bank robber ignite a future from the ashes of their past when they are trapped by a blizzard in a mountain shack or will playing with fire burn them both?
